We were chosen by Baker Hughes Corporation as General Contractor to lead a Design Build Team for updates to their Nevada Barite Processing and Packaging facility. These improvements were required to bring the plant into compliance with Mine Safety and Corporate efficiency targets. The initial goal and design upgraded the process, added a complete new packaging facility, and build a new office.
During the initial phase with design at 75% complete and over a million dollars of non-refundable equipment on order, the owner decided for market reasons to cancel the project. Our team was able to develop an alternative to defer the process work and complete the new packaging facility and office and thus were successful in keeping the plant in operation. The scopes of work included in this project are fire prevention system, concrete, pre engineered metal building, mechanical work and process equipment.
