The City of Winnemucca retained Don Smit of Project One as Project Manager and Owner’s Representative to bring forth a design with the functionality and aesthetics to move the Winnemucca Volunteer Fire Depart from their outdated facility downtown to a more accessible location to better serve the growing community. This public works project was competitively bid with only our company submitting a bid. The original project design was over budget for what the city wanted to spend. To resolve that, we collaborated with the Project Manager and City Engineer, opened our books and worked together to modify the scope to achieve budget goals without compromising the utility required. The end result is a first class apparatus bay, offices and training room that will serve the Volunteer Fire Department for years to come.
